Gregarious: Hosting a flatshare
I lived as a subtenant in a shared apartment for a while. At some point, our main tenant wanted to dissolve the shared apartment due to financial circumstances. However, this shared apartment was a home for all of us and I did not want to give it up without a fight. So I came up with a financial concept on how the shared apartment could continue to exist.
It is often difficult for people with a migration background and refugees to find a suitable home. That is why I have decided to rent out the rooms in my own shared apartment especially to these groups of people.
Through my shared apartment model, I have been able to provide a new home to several individuals. This has enabled them to find their way in an inclusive and welcoming environment. This has resulted in many of them achieving very good results in their studies or having the courage to seize new job opportunities. Despite initial difficulties, this concept turned out to be very successful, so we are still living here.
